Dragon Fangs

The horns of this dragon head is so supposed to represent 3 elements, lightning for quickness, air for precision, and boulders for strength. The lightning bolts represent the quickness of delivering packages. The Crosshairs represent precision when delivering packages to the right customers and locations. The Boulders represent strength in which heavy packages still get delivered on time and with extra care. The Dragon Head itself represents a fierce competitor with other pakaging companies. A dragon stands for power and domination towards others who stand in its way from achieving what needs to be done.

Project 2: Montage

To me this project was a task I had to surpass in oder to find out more about photoshop, in which I needed to experiment with the large amount of different tools which some who difficult to use because it needed to be used with another tool that I had not realized & had known about. This project has led me to discover that I can not only edit & make an image clearer, but that I could create an even larger image with little images. By using the tools of photoshop, I have created Checks & Balances being represented by 3 dragons, 6 orbs: one of each main element , a 4 equilateral triangle & the yin-yang symbol. Each of these elements are part of a whole in which I created. For example, the triangle separates each dragon with its own set of 2 orbs;  the 3 dragons represent the 3 branches of government power, Executive Branch which the president approves or disapproves laws made by congress, Legislature Branch in which Congress makes the laws, & the Judicial Branch in which the Supreme Court lies as the final arbiter when making the laws. well these 3 dragons are each a 3rd of controlling balance. now each orb contains an element, fire, water, light, darkness, wind, & nature. As all of these orbs unite, there is balance among all, but if one orb or so happens to be ununited with the rest of the orbs, then there will be chaos & not balnce among all.  So each dragon has possession of 2 orbs, in order to have equal power with each other, so that neither one with become stronger than the others & destroy the balance that the 3 of the dragons have worked long to preserve.  And the yin-yang symbolizes equilaty between all & that all have the same amount of power to preserve balance. Checks & Balances which are represented by each dragon containing 2 orbs each, claims that each dragon has the power to balance out the power if one gets too powerful. In order to create this image you see here, I just used simple Photoshop tools such as the elliptical tool  & the lasso tool in order to make outlines of the images i was using. Some other tools I used were the eraser tool, the liquefy tool,  the layer masking tool, the style palette tool, the transforming tool, air brush tool + paint brush tool, & the paint bucket tool in order to remodel the images in order to create an image that would represent Check & Balances between powers. the Elliptical tool & the eraser tool was used to create outlines for the orbs & for the yin-yang circle, while the eraser tool was used to erase the extra areas that were unnecessary.  the transforming, the layer masking tool, paint brush tool, & the air-brush tool were used to resize & hide all images so that i could use the combination between the paint brush tool & the air-brush tool in order to reveal the images exactly as I needed them to be. the paint bucket tool was used to make the 4 equilateral triangle the same color, then the style palette tool was used to apply an original style to the triangle, & to the 3 dragons. this is how Checks & Balances was created.  From what I discovered using Photoshop in this project, I learned that creating a montage is more difficult than how it seems because you have to experiment with the images in order to achieve your goal.  By creating this montage, I have learned that making a montage isn't just "pinning the tail on the donkey", but it's something that requires a lot of attention & focus in order to create  something that has meaning applied to it. For example this montage , represents the Checks & Balances within the government to display division of powers among the 3 branches of government. And that each branch has the duty & ability to check if the other branches are gaining too much power, & to balance out the immense power between the 3 branches.
