Chinese Club Business Card

For this business card, I chose to use the Chinese zodiac animals & the Chinese characters for china & club. In order to put this business card together, I used Photoshop to change the style of these characters in order to combine them to form a logo specifically for the Chinese zodiac. I used the layer style tools to change the hue of the characters to not only match the zodiac animals but also to spark an interest within this logo. For the text however, I translated the characters to English to reveal that this business card can be read in English or Chinese. The text font were selected in order for all ages to read it legibly & not be confused about what they are reading. I chose ITC Garamond & Georgia in order for the text to read clearly because as individuals grow up, their eye sight isn’t as accurate as when they were younger. The Chinese Club text in English is colored green because it matches the characters hue accordingly so that there will not be any unnecessary confusion & because both the font families have some similarities. I also chose a bright green color for the text because on most cards or platforms a bright color is usually best for that material. I chose to use a black outline to combine with the bright green color in order for readers to locate the text if they are unable to. I specifically chose green because the some of the Chinese zodiac animals live in bamboo forests & I thought it would be significant if the text were to be green.
